Young Adult and Campus Ministry Training

Attention volunteers and leaders of local and district Young Adult and Campus Ministry efforts: You are warmly invited to a training event! This event includes specialized training for district-employed staff on June 13, plus a one-day training for both staff and volunteers on June 14. Sliding scale registration fees range from $50 for the one-day training to $150 for both days at the full rate, not including travel and housing. The training will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Church at Washington Crossing in Titusville, NJ. Download a flyer from the UUA website. For more information, contact the staff of the UUA's Office of Young Adult and Campus Ministry: Nancy DiGiovanni and Erik Kesting. Registration closes May 31, 2008.

Continental UU Young Adult Meeting

All UU Young Adults (18-35) in the U.S. and Canada are invited to a special meeting in Fort Lauderdale, FL, on Tuesday, June 24, and Wednesday, June 25. This Continental Unitarian Universalist Young Adult Network (C*UUYAN) visioning and business meeting will take place just prior to General Assembly so that as many young adults as possible can attend. Together we will engage in large and small group reflections to discern our purposes, goals, and priorities. For more information, check the event listing on ConnectUU.

New Book by UU Minister

Rev. Ken Beldon, Lead Minister of Wellsprings Congregation in Chester Springs, PA, has edited a new book that is especially of interest to young adults. "Wrestling With Adulthood: UU Men Talk About Growing Up" includes essays by seven authors, who look back on traveling the distance from boyhood to adulthood. The book is now available from the UUA Bookstore.
