Grants

Joseph Priestley District (JPD) Young Adult and Campus Ministry (YACM) offers funding, thanks to the generosity of donors and congregations who participate in the YACM Sunday campaign every other year.

Grant applications are reviewed three times a year by the Director for Young Adult and Campus Ministry and the UU Young Adult Network Grants Sub-Committee. Applicant congregations will use a simple "Intent to Apply" form to begin the process. When the Intent to Apply is received, a member of the Grants Sub-Committee will assist the congregation in completing the Full Application. Updates and downloadable applications are now available. Deadlines are as follows:

JPD YACM offers four flavors of grants to congregations and congregation-sponsored Young Adult or campus groups:

YACM Projects Grant

Young Adult and Campus Ministry Projects Grants are for activities, conferences, outreach, worship, group start-up, advertising and other projects. Funds ranging from $100 to $1000 are given to congregations with and without campus groups and Young Adult groups. [Download Application (DOC)]

Public Events Grant

Awards from the YACM Public Events Grant are for the purpose of assisting congregations in offering large public programs, such as lectures or workshops, on college and university campuses, and in congregations. The primary goal of these programs is to increase awareness of and interest in the Unitarian Universalist movement. YACM Public Events Grants are for funds up to $2000. [Download Application (DOC)]

Campus Ministry Coordinator Grant

This program was created to assist Unitarian Universalist Congregations in hiring a Campus Ministry Coordinator who would provide UU Campus Ministry to a nearby college or university. The program would be part of the outreach mission of the Congregation. [Download Application (DOC)]

Young Adult Ministry Coordinator Grant

This program was created to assist Unitarian Universalist Congregations in hiring a Young Adult Ministry Coordinator who would provide UU YA Ministry to young adults in a local congregation. The program would be part of the lifespan faith development of the Congregation. [Download Application (DOC)]
